Intimate Place of Divine Protection – In-To-Me-See

This God of ours, He is a [Shelter, Secret Place, Stronghold]!`  This is the place where we go to get intimately acquainted with God our Creator.  This is the place where we truly meet Jesus and learn who He really is.  This is the place where we dwell with the Holy Spirit who is our closest friend we will ever meet and have during this life time on earth, while in these human bodies.  Jesus Himself has put in a personal reservation for each of us to step into this place, awaiting our arrival in Heaven.  But, while we are yet here on earth, we can still meet Jesus in what we consider our secret place, our place of shelter.  The location of this place is truly anywhere we go to meet with Him and to spend time with Him, to be taken up into His presence, to find ourselves in true worship of His Majesty.

This is all possible [because] as Hebrews 4:14-15 states: “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.”  Remember that Jesus died a sinners death.  He tasted pure sinfulness for a moment on the cross

Our Shelter, our stronghold, the place we run and flee to when we are in danger is not some huge and fortified city or castle.  In this day and age, and against our enemy in this present time, we find safety and shelter in the Body of Christ, in the Church, in our small groups or life groups (whatever name you call your group by).  We can also find safety and shelter in reading the Bible and praying to God our Father, who is our Eternal Shelter and Strong Hold.  As Children of God, He has promised that when we call on His Name, He will answer us, and when we are at battle and war with the Enemy, He will protect us [with the Armor of God – Ephesians 6].

Our secret place, again, the place where we go to get intimately acquainted with God our Creator, does not have to be confined and isolated to one single, secluded, place or room, but can also be found simply in reading the Bible, writing, journaling, playing music and worshiping God the Father.  Wherever!  Whenever!  Our secret place is truly found in the how and when and where we meet with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 

When we dwell in this Shelter, this Secret Place, and live a devoted life of worship to God, through a personal relationship with Him, we will find ourselves transformed, protected, full of life and joy, completely satisfied, and so much more.  Everything we will ever need is found in Him (God) alone; He will answer all of our questions and satisfy every single need that we will ever have.  This is all to us because we Believe in Him; apart from God, however, none of this will ever be granted to us.
