“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in Heaven

Matthew 6:9

Oh, how great it is to know that we have such a perfect, wonderful, and loving Father that surpasses all expectations that we as people put on our earthly fathers. This Father of ours, His name is ABBA Father, Yahweh (YHWH), the Great I AM. And He is so good in fact that He gave His first, His Only Begotten Child, our Brother, Jesus, to take on the weight of the cross for us. He is so good that He left his Heavenly Home for our eathly tents. He is so good that He died when we should have died instead.

He is not from the earth but He created the Earth itself; He spoke the Earth into being!

“All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being… There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him… But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:3, 9-10, 12-13, NASB).

He created it all.  His love is so great that He now calls us His children: “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us (given unto us), that we should be called Children of God (1 John 3:1).

Our Father does not disappoint, He Satisfies!
Our Father does not let down, He lifts up!
Our Father does not leave us alone, He surrounds us!
Our Father does not leave us empty; He fills us up!

Our Father in Heaven, Creator of all things, loves us as His very own, calls us His very own, created us all in His very image. God calls us all by name, as numerous as the sands of the sea shore. Our Heavenly Father is beyond comprehension, uncontainable, untameable; there is no other!

Prayer

God, you are my God, larger than the universe, and yet you know me by name. I ask that you would grant me the understanding of how large you are and how small that I am and how I could be made in your very image. Thank you for loving me so much that you agve your only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me so that we could be reunited in a personal relationship with each other. Amen!
